Tell Tale Signs You Might Need a Car Window Replacement

To be fair, you need a car window replacement if the auto glass is cracked, warped, or foggy due to age. You might also need it replaced if the glass is scratched or marred. That being said, there are some telltale signs that will indicate that a window replacement is in your near future. For instance, you might want to replace auto windows if you notice any of the following:

  • Small bubbles or air pockets floating in your auto glass windshields sign that you might need windscreen repairs or replacements.
  • A pattern of small scratches on the glass that looks like spider legs or spokes from a wheel.
  • White, yellow, or brown spots on your car windows that look like fungus growing. Fungus usually grows in colonies around the centre of the window and across the front edge of your windshield because it thrives in moist air and has porous properties.
  • Dark areas (i.e., puddles) at the bottom of your car windows that you can't remove with water and a towel, even after several times washing them off with soap and water; this could indicate tiny particles attached to the glass surface.
  • You can see water, either on the inside or outside of your windshield. If you have auto-dimming and find there is something wrong with the function then this could be a sign that there is an issue with the wiring or wires inside the driver's side door switch.
  • Cracking or peeling paint inside and outside your windows in certain areas of your car, especially along the edges of your window seals and around screws along the car window frames and doors. This indicates deteriorating wiring (i.e., power window motor).

Windshields and windows are very important to the safety of your car. Therefore, it's really important to pay attention to what your windows are telling you and get them fixed ASAP.
